4 cups (about 1 liter)

 Ingredients

  • 1 liter (4 cups) filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced (or 1½ teaspoons grated)
  • 1 small lemon, sliced (or the juice of one lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honeyĀ (optional, for light sweetness)
  • 4–5 fresh mint leavesĀ (optional, Mediterranean twist)
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmericĀ (optional, anti-inflammatory boost)

 Instructions

1. Boil the water

In a medium pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil.

2. Add the ginger

Let it steep for 5 minutes.

Strain the mixture into a glass jug or bottle.
Add honey (optional) while still warm so it dissolves.
